Am I Good Fit For Agency Work?
Whether you are looking to supplement a permanent position your already work, or are looking for part or full time flexibility, agency work can be a great option! Our knowledgeable staff will help meet your employment needs by matching you to a facility need based on your skill set. You never have to worry about being sent to a job outside of your comfort level! If you have some free time and desire flexibility for your personal schedule, agency work would be a great fit!
What Disciplines Are You Recruiting For?
We are currently hiring Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Medical Assistants, and other Allied Health Professionals.
How Much Experience Is Required?
Our facilities trust us to send them competent, qualified providers… they do not want to have to train you. Therefore, we require at least a year’s experience for the area you are working. You should be willing and able to hit the ground running!
What kind of paperwork do I need to fill out to get started?
We have an application, as well as reference and background forms that need to be filled out. Additionally, we will need copies of any licenses and certifications you currently hold. We will also need 2 forms of government issued ID and your immunization records…including a current TB. (See our New Hire Checklist >)
We have a few tests that you need to take…but don’t worry… most have study guides!! They are basic healthcare tests.
In order to work at HCA facilities, we do need an additional credentialing packet…so there is some extra paperwork. It is well worth it, as you will have more employment opportunities.
How long does the paperwork take?
Filling out the basic paperwork takes an hour or less. Being prepared with your employment history addresses and phone numbers, as well as reference phone numbers, will help it go quickly! If you wish to take the tests while you are here, you should plan for another hour or two. Otherwise, you are welcome to take the tests home with copies of the study guides, for completion at your leisure. All testing needs to be completed prior to working your first shift.
What should I bring with me to the interview?
Bring your completed application, immunization records, any professional licenses and certifications, 2 forms of government ID, any questions, and a positive and confident attitude!
How soon can I start working?
Once you have completed all the paperwork and finished all the tests, you will be ready to start. The only possible delay will be if the facility you want to work at requires a proprietary charting course. If that is the case, it may take a week or two to get you into a class. We do have several facilities to place you at until that is possible. In addition to completing all the paperwork, we require a background check and a drug screen. Once that is complete, we will get your working!
How much can I work?
We try out best to schedule you as much as you want! The best way to keep working is to be SURE to keep us updated on your availability.
How flexible can my schedule be?
That is one of the BEST perks of agency work…you can be as flexible as you want to be! We will get your availability on a weekly basis…so if you are not available for the week, or for certain days or shifts, just let us know. If you want to work more shifts than you are normally available for, be sure to give us a call. And if your schedule changes half way through the week, we can work with that too. The only thing we ask is that if you take a shift offered to you…you show up and work!
How soon in advance will I be offered shifts?
We try our best of offer shifts as much in advance as possible. Some shifts will be offered upwards of a week in advance. Hospital needs come up quickly though…and sometimes we will call you within 2 hours of a need! Again, flexibility is key!
What happens if I can’t work a shift I’ve agreed to?
We realize that sometimes “life happens”. If you have an emergency that comes up, you will be able to reach us 24 hours a day. We just ask that you call OUR OFFICE as soon as you know you won’t be able to work your shift so we can let the facility know, and get your shift covered.
How often and when do I get paid?
You will send your timecards to us each Monday, and you get paid that Friday for your previous week worked.
What hospitals do you staff?
We currently staff all HCA facilities - St. Mark’s Hospital, Mountain View Hospital, Timpanogos Medical Center, Lakeview Hospital, Ogden Regional Medical Center and Brigham City Community Hospital; all Iasis Healthcare facilities - Pioneer Valley Hospital, Jordan Valley Hospital, Davis Hospital and Salt Lake Regional Medical Center; Mountain West Medical Center.
We also staff many Long Term Care centers as well as several Surgical Centers. We also provide staff for Flu Clinics and Military Deployment Events (Shot Clinics.)
